Do you know that

Terengganu and Pahang..? I bet everyone must know right.. (“,)
Today I just want to talked about one of the east coast of
Malaysia that is famous for its natural attraction and beautiful destination
which is Kelantan. There is an area
that caught my attention that makes me want to share about the place. Do you know where it is….?^^
The place is Gunung Stong State Park. Gunung Stong, formerly
known as Jelawang Jungle is now named as state park since 2005 and is one of
the popular eco-tourism in Malaysia. It stands 1.442 metre tall and house many
wildlife and flora and fauna. Gunung Stong State Park is a forested mountainous
area. This park is surrounded by various mountains like Gunung Ayam, Gunung
Tera, Gunung Saji, etcetera and has many rivers and caves. The total area
covered by this park is more than 20,000 hectares.
This dense forest is a home for a variety of wildlife like
deer, elephants, tigers and various kinds of birds. You can find unique flora and
fauna, including the largest flower of the world, Rafflesia. A great place for
bird watchers, this park consists of more than 100 species of birds. Base of
mountain Gunung Stong is the best spot to watch birds.
This park also consists of various caves which are around
225-million years old. These caves are collectively known as the Dabong
limestone caves. However, the major attraction of this park is the Stong Falls.
The falls considered to be the highest waterfall in the Southeast Region is 495
above sea Level. This Park is the best place for an adventurer and nature lover
as it provides wonderful treks.
Places of interest is
trap door spider, bamboo area, track down animal tracks, rock shelter, seven
level waterfalls, Princess Well and panoramic view and sunrise from a top of
First Waterfall.
Place to stay, there is Gunung Stong Resort available and also a campsite is available for
overnight stays. You can use the park for a day trip or camp a night or more at
the top of the waterfall. The park entrance fee is RM7. You can either head to
the base of the falls and take a dip in the small pool or continue to the top
of Gunung Stong. The campground is located at the top of the waterfall and
provides huts for RM10.
For all travelers out there who are interested to visit and explore this
place, there are two ways to get there by rode and ride on the train.Who are by
road that coming from Kuala Lumpur, you can take the North-South Highway
and exist at Kuala Kangsar. From there, follow Gerik and head on to East-West
highway to Jeli. From there, head towards Dabong. For who ride on the train. At KL Sentra Station, board the
express train to Kota Bahru, and it will lead you through small towns including
Dabong. Get off at Dabong and cross Sungai Galas and head towards Jelawang,
which is approximately 3km away.
There are also places nearby for tourists to visit such as the Handicraft Village and Craft Museum and Pantai Bisikan Bayu, is just a scenic 50km drive south of Kota Bharu, Kelantan's capital.
March to October is
the best time to visit, as the rainfall and humidity levels are at their lowest
and temperatures pleasant.
I hope everyone can find the way
and feel happy to enjoy the adventure..^_^
